The judges citation said -
"The Day Surgery Unit project involved the construction of a new minor operations building and day surgery unit, a link structure between three existing buildings and general refurbishment of adjoining areas with the hospital remaining fully operational through out the 89 weeks work.
The close working relationship of the project team and the thorough nature of the planning phase were instrumental to the high quality and success of the project."
