This achievement was made possible through diligent research, careful material selection, and meticulous application, all of which were enhanced by close collaboration with our client throughout both the design and construction phases.
The Murchison House project brief included several key interventions to the original house, such as the addition of a lower-ground-floor gymnasium and sauna, as well as a new extension on the north-west elevation. This extension houses a spacious lower-ground-floor entertainment room, while the upper-ground floor features a housekeeper’s unit adjacent to a new office space. These spaces are connected by a striking oak treaded spiral staircase, incorporating a state-of-the-art, ambient neutron lighting system, further elevating the overall design.
