HETTICH JEWELLERS, ST. HELIER
We have provided Hettich Jewellers with design expertise and technical support for two of their recent projects, re-modelling their ground level Sales Floor and reworking their Jewellery Workshop providing an efficient working layout meeting the demanding technical requirements imposed by Rolex™ and Patek Philippe™ of Geneva.
For their Sales Floor renovation we provided Technical Design advice followed by preparing the Building Application under the Building Byelaws and securing Building Consent.
WAYSIDE CAFE, ST. BRELADE
Desiring a new look this well-known and popular café approached us to create a new all-weather seating area and to redesign the internal and external spaces.
The owner had seen our re-development St. Brelade’s Bay hotels external pool and café area and was fascinated by the self-retracting Galileo system that had been installed. The brief called for a new look at a minimal cost to revitalise the atmosphere and provide a covered extension.
We conceived a bright and airy interior design echoing the cafe’s beachside location with light browns / greens and curvy wave-form ceiling.
JERSEY ARCHIVE: INTERIOR DESIGN & FURNITURE
We provided a complete Interior Design Service including design and detailing of bespoke furniture made especially for the project to suit specific needs and we also managed the Artists Interventions.
The Reading Room table, which is made out of oak with a grey metalwork frame, was designed for up to 20 readers. Down the middle of the desk we incorporated a glass screen on which artist Louise Lusby-Taylor’s design, using an artefact from the Archive, was etched.
We designed and procured other specialist furniture for the Reception, Public areas, Conservation suite and all administration offices.
HIGHLANDS COLLEGE: UNIVERSITY CENTRE INTERIOR DESIGN
Our Interior Design work for Highlands College looked at what could be achieved from converting Le Capelian Suite with adjacent rooms in the existing Turner Building into a dedicated University Centre for Highland’s Degree students.
This overcame acoustic issues of a large room with high coffered ceiling by introducing sound-absorbent dividing materials and walls, providing a new lecture / teaching space, staff offices and student study areas.
