One of our particular attributes, is our experience with producing 3-dimensional building modelling for every project. BDK Architects design using state-of-the-art CAD technology. At the design stage, we will provide you with a Virtual Building Model for exploration on your own computer and also life like, virtual reality three dimensional images. The ability to comprehend the end result at such an early stage is an important benefit our clients enjoy, appreciate and find immensely valuable.
BDK have expert knowledge of Planning Policies enabling us to give you advice about what is likely to be acceptable for your house or site. For example, we have recently advised an owner of a large house in the Green Zone on Island Plan Policy supporting sub-division into several smaller dwellings. This has the potential of enabling owners of large houses, which they are finding difficult to sell, to down-size at the same time realising Enhanced Property Value.
On another Green Zone site, we designed an exclusive modern four-bedroom house replacing a run-down bungalow. This resulted in an inherited asset worth £650K, with an increase to £1.25M once we had secured planning consent. Then you are set to progress onto the final stage:
Undertake the Build: Realise your project with BDK managing construction phaseincluding selecting suitable builders, obtaining competitive prices, entering into a water-tightcontract, monitoring on-site progress/quality standards/safety, agreeing valuations/payments,arranging input of other design specialists, and overseeing construction co-ordination tosuccessful completion. During this preliminary consultation, we will identify your requirements and suggest possible options. Explore your Virtual Environment
Our Virtual Building Technology can give you a truly three-dimensional appreciation of how the completed project will appear and feel. BDK Architects don’t just prepare two-dimensional plans, elevations and sections. Here we assemble a virtual building using state-of-the-art CAD technology from which both a Virtual Building Model or more conventional two-dimensional drawings are produced. This will allow you to really explore the physical appearance of your building.
We can offer you a full 3D tour of your project and even provide you with our Virtual Building Explorer CD. This enables you to take a tour of your project at home on your own personal computer. This is a great design aid and makes it far easier to read and appreciate the scheme than two-dimensional drawings.
